>> Sunday, Oct. 8		 SAIFF announces its 2006 program slate of 21 World Premieres and 11 North American Premieres from India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Nepal.

This year, screenings to be hosted at two theaters; both ‘Uptown’ at Clearview Cinemas on Broadway & 62nd Street around Lincoln Center and ‘Downtown’ at AMC/LOEWS Theater on Broadway and 19th Street around Union Square. This year's program demonstrates the extraordinary range of talent coming out of South Asia. Over the course of next five days, SAIFF is pleased to present the best South Asian feature films of the year, ranging from big-budget song-and-dance Bollywood, to new wave avante-garde, to self-funded documentaries.





On Sunday, October 8th we proudly present the romantic-comedy full of culture, family, and values directed by Ajmal Zaheer Ahmad as the Official Closing Night Presentation at the downtown AMC/LOEWS Theater at Union Square.
